Simplified patient journeys
Patients can register, book appointments, access e-health reports, and purchase medication in just a few steps.
See how AppsRhino helped MedoPlus connect 10M+ rural residents, process 157,000+ appointments, and onboard 280,000+ patients with a scalable healthcare platform.
AppsRhino built a scalable, multi-stakeholder healthcare platform that helped MedoPlus register 280,000+ patients, process 157,000+ appointments, and connect 265+ diagnostic labs across rural India.
Rural India faces a persistent gap between the demand for healthcare and the infrastructure available to deliver it. MedoPlus set out to close that gap digitally — but doing so meant solving problems far beyond just building an app.
We designed the platform on a microservice architecture from day one, keeping every module independent so the system could scale and evolve without breaking existing functionality.
A Node.js and Express backend was built to keep the platform fast and responsive even as concurrent users and data volumes grew.
Angular powered a dynamic, responsive front end for both patients and healthcare providers, built around simplicity for low digital-literacy users.
A cloud-based NoSQL database was implemented to securely store and manage large, growing volumes of sensitive healthcare data.
Docker containerization kept every microservice consistent across environments, simplifying deployment and ongoing management.
AWS provided the scalability, uptime, and security needed to support a platform serving patients across rural India.
AppsRhino designed and delivered a full healthcare management platform for patients, doctors, hospitals, MedoMITR agents, and sales managers — accessible through mobile and web, and built specifically with rural usability in mind.
Patients can register, book appointments, access e-health reports, and purchase medication in just a few steps.
Doctors and patients both get access to complete medical histories, supporting faster, more informed diagnoses.
Patients can consult doctors remotely through live video calls and teleconferencing, cutting down travel time and cost.
Razorpay and ICICI UPI integrations let patients pay for consultations and services directly within the app.
Sales managers and MedoMitr agents help patients of every tech comfort level book and manage appointments.
Large buttons, minimal text, and multilingual support make the platform usable across diverse regional audiences.
Kept the platform modular so new features could be added without disrupting existing services
What started as an effort to close a healthcare access gap became a scalable digital health network. MedoPlus now connects patients, doctors, hospitals, and diagnostic labs on a single platform — something that would have been operationally very difficult to coordinate manually at this scale.
The result is a platform that doesn't just digitize healthcare access — it actively builds the digital trust needed to sustain it.
"AppsRhino gave us the flexible architecture we needed to scale our user base without friction. The experience has improved for both patients and doctors, and the platform has become central to how we deliver healthcare."
MedoPlus wanted to make quality healthcare accessible to rural India, where limited facilities, long travel distances, and low digital literacy made consistent care difficult to access.
Through MedoMITR centers — physical, assisted access points staffed by local agents who help patients book appointments and use the platform, even without internet access or smartphone familiarity.
A microservice architecture with a Node.js (Express) backend, Angular front end, MongoDB Atlas for data storage, Docker for containerization, and AWS for cloud hosting.
Through integrated Razorpay and ICICI UPI payment options directly within the app.
Over 280,000 patients registered, 157,000+ appointments processed, a 42% increase in registrations within three months, and a 45% boost in appointment show-ups.
